EPIC ALL STARS- NEEDVILLE

The All Star group is a great entry level team for the new performers. This is for dancers aged 5-7. They will take class once a week along with one rehearsal. The focus is on beginner jazz techniques. All Stars will have 1-2 performances per semester...typically community performances. They will learn one performance routine and a holiday routine. If All Stars compete, it will be one time in the spring semester for experience. They will be involved in some of the social events with the dance companies.
All Stars will have one team costume/uniform that they will wear for all performances. They will also need team tights and jazz shoes. All Stars are also required to purchase an All Star dance top and black dance Capri pants that they wear for class and rehearsals.

Dancers should wear dance clothes for the auditions. Hair in a pony tail. Jazz shoes.

GENERAL INFO...
Our dance companies perform at community events, attend dance conventions, and compete each season. The commitment involves summer dance & choreography camp. Members have weekly class requirements from August to recital the following May or June. Dancers will need to be available for summer classes and rehearsals after recital if their group is attending Nationals competition in July. Extra rehearsals- a few each semester- are necessary.
Dancers take technique classes and attend a company rehearsal class each week.
A GLIMPSE at PLANS for 2024-2025...
- Fall performances such as pumpkin patch and holiday festivals
- Social events
- Spring conventions (1-2) and competitions (3-5)
- Spring recital
- Summer Nationals competition OR dance trip
We are excited about consistent training. Working with our dancers to acquire confidence, time management skills, self esteem, work ethic, etc. are important processes on top of their technical development as dancers. We believe in the social interactions and connections of dance companies!
The dance companies are required to purchase more than the All Stars. They purchase at least 2 costumes, tights, shoes, leggings, company jacket, company T-shirt, performance earrings, make-up, accessories, etc. These are items they use all year at various events.

Make-up Audition will be July 13th at 9:30AM in Sugar Land for anyone who misses June 20th.

Company Dance Intensive July 29-August 1
The audition consists of ballet technique and jazz. Dancers should wear pink tights, black leotards, and bring all appropriate shoes. Hair should be secured in a bun.
For 2024-2025, we would like to have 2-3 levels of teams. There is not set number of dancers for each team. Placement is determined by age and skill level.
If you plan to audition, we strongly urge you to look into summer classes with us.
